Hi everyone! I’m Jola, a first-year student from Germany in the Sociology and Social Research master’s programme. Before this master’s, I did my bachelor’s at University College Maastricht and I did a one-year master’s in Sociology of Education at Uppsala University. Next to my studies, I play volleyball and tennis, and I enjoy playing card- and board games with friends. I joined the PAC to be able to represent my fellow students in discussions about how to improve our education and additionally, I’m looking for ways to connect first-year and second-year students within the programme. My name is Willem van Zutven, I am 25 years old and 100% Dutch 🙂 I already achieved a bachelor in applied psychology, but I wanted to learn more about doing research, which is why I am here. I enjoy figuring out causes of social problems and working with data. Ill be representing the (now) 2nd year students of the Sociology and social research program. I am looking forward to further working together with fellow PAC member Jola Gockel from year 1, the course Coordinator Ineke Maas, the educational coordinator Pim Sangers and Chair Deni Mazrekaj to help improve the program!
