I’m Merel (20) and a third-year Psychology student. A fun fact about me is that I’ve never used Canva, and I like everything with banana flavour. A friend of mine was in the OC kamer last year, and through her I got in touch with student representation! A fun fact about me is that I mainly have grandma hobbies (crocheting, knitting and painting). As a member of the OC kamer, I look forward to contributing ideas about issues and innovations within the programme and strengthening the voice of students. Hi! I’m Diederick Slange, 26 years old and a third-year student.
Fun fact about me: I love music, and I play electric, acoustic, and bass guitar! This year, I’m part of the OC kamer as a student member. In this role, I represent the students’ voice and help think about ways to improve the education within our programme. Together with lecturers and fellow students, we discuss the curriculum, course structure, and assessment methods.

My main interest lies in how the brain influences our behaviour, and I might pursue a Master’s in Neuropsychology or Neuroscience & Cognition. That curiosity also shapes my work within the committee. I believe it’s important that our education is both academically strong and aligned with what students need to grow.

With my efforts, I hope to contribute to a learning environment where students feel heard and everyone feels they are a valued part of the university.

I’m Emma, 19 years old and in my second year of Psychology. Last year, I was a year representative, which led me to join the OC kamer this year. I really enjoy living here in Utrecht, and that’s why I think it’s important to contribute to our education myself.
