Student Member of the Management Team (MT)
Several Master’s programs have a student representative in their Management Team (MT). This team brings together policymakers, education coordinators, and financial advisers who make important decisions about the organization of the programme. As the student member of the MT, you ensure that the student perspective is part of this decision-making process. You will collaborate closely with PAC students as well as with other MT student members from both bachelor’s and master’s programmes, so that student voices are represented at every level.
What will you do?
As a member of the MT, you will be directly involved in shaping the organization of your master’s programme. Together with staff members, you will discuss topics ranging from curriculum planning to financial considerations, ensuring that student perspectives are taken seriously. Every six weeks, you will also join meetings with bachelor and master MT student members to prepare topics for the Board of Studies. These meetings focus on broader faculty issues such as language policies or regulations around electives. In this way, you help make sure that the experiences and needs of master’s students are included in faculty-wide discussions. On average, the role requires about two hours per week, which you can arrange flexibly alongside your studies.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for a student who is able to work well with both peers and staff members. You will collaborate intensively with PAC students and with other MT representatives, as well as with education coordinators, policymakers, and administrative staff. For this role, it is important that you are communicative and assertive, unafraid to share your opinion or ask critical questions. You should be able to back up your perspective with clear arguments and demonstrate responsibility, initiative, and active engagement in the discussions that shape your programme.
What do we offer?
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into what happens behind the scenes of your master’s programme. You will learn how educational policy is developed and put into practice, and you will have the chance to contribute directly to that process by providing advice. You will also expand your network by working closely with staff and other student representatives. In addition, there is room to set up your own projects and initiatives that benefit your programme and fellow students. For your contribution, you will receive a monthly compensation of €60.13.
