Student Member Board of Studies Research Master (BoS ReMa)
The Board of Studies Research Master (BoS ReMa) is a faculty-level governing body where all research master directors come together with policymakers. Alongside the student assessor, there are two student representatives, one of whom is drawn from the EC ReMa. As a BoS ReMa student member, you represent the collective interests of all research master students in the faculty, making sure their perspectives are heard when policies are created.
What will you do?
In this role, you will critically review policy documents, regulations, and reports, always keeping in mind how they affect research master students. Unlike the EC, which focuses on quality of education, the BoS ReMa is concerned with the organization of education and decision-making processes. It is your responsibility to ensure that the student voice is included from the very beginning of policy formation. You will represent all research master programmes, not just your own, and contribute to discussions that shape the future of these studies. The role requires about two extra hours per week, in addition to your PAC and EC responsibilities, with a flexible schedule.
What do we expect from you?
We are looking for a student who is communicative, structured, and reliable. You should be comfortable working independently as well as in collaboration with others. Reading and preparing policy documents should not be a challenge for you, and you are always well-prepared for meetings. You are able to share the knowledge and insights you gain in the board with your fellow students in a clear and accessible way.
What do we offer?
Being part of the BoS ReMa gives you an in-depth view of how educational policies for research masters are developed and decided upon. You will gain valuable experience in governance, expand your network within the faculty, and may also have the chance to participate in conferences and symposia outside the university. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence the policy landscape of research master programmes. For your contribution, you will receive a monthly compensation of €60.13.
